Liguria is a thin, crescent-shaped coastal region of northwest Italy running 250km (150 miles) along the Mediterranean Sea from the border with the south of France in the west to the port city of La Spezia in the east.
It is made with Vermentino , a white wine grape grown in various locations, and under various names, around the western Mediterranean. Strongholds include northwestern Italy, southern France and the neighboring islands of Corsica and Sardinia.
Vineyards of the fruits are On the hills of Ranzo, behind Imperia and Savona where Lorena and Guido cultivate 4 hectares of over thirty-year-old vineyards (arranged on terraces - the typical "bands") and olive groves (Taggiasca cultivar) with the intention of not breaking that delicate bond with the past and the tradition of the Ligurian hills while maintaining the typicality of the products as much as possible. Pigato, Vermentino, Rossese and Ormeasco are planted in vineyards.
Wine is obtained from short maceration on the skins, with spontaneous fermentation with its own yeasts in steel containers and aging in steel tanks as per tradition, to maintain the typical aromas and characteristics of this grape.
