Cesanese di Olevano Romano (or simply Olevano Romano) is a red-wine DOC/DOP of the Lazio wine region in central western Italy.
The wine is made with Cesanese, a grape variety used to make red wine in Italy's Lazio wine region. It is used mostly in the production of still red wines with bright fruit characters and some earthy overtones, and is considered by many to be one of Lazio's most interesting grape varieties.
The wine has refreshing minerality that comes from the soil of an old volcanic lake bed in the area.
