Collalto's Manzoni Rosso 2.15, more commonly referred to as 'Manzoni Rosso', is the result of a cross between Glera and Cabernet Sauvignon.
This hybrid, despite the difference between the two grape varieties of origin, manages to bring back to the wine the two distinct souls of the grapes that generated it.
The grapes are grown on the hills facing south of the left bank of the Piave river, 130 meters above sea level. above sea level, in a clayey soil.
The harvest takes place in mid-October. Soft pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks and concrete vats for 8 days follows.
After the alcoholic fermentation the malolactic fermentation takes place.
Aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months, followed by aging in the bottle for 6 months.
