The two brothers Nicola and Giacomo Guidi are now the fifth generation to work the vineyard of their family estate. The Guidi estate, founded in 1929, offers the ideal entry into Italy for wine lovers seeking the classic expression of Chianti.
The wine is made with a blend of various red fruits. Sangiovese is thought to derive from the Latin sanguis Jovis (the blood of Jupiter) and traditionally, Chianti, was made from a blend of red grapes (Sangiovese, Canaliolo and Colorino).
Chianti in general is the ideal wine to offer all seasons. It’s graceful enough to handle summer fare, when grills are laden with juicy steaks.
Chianti is the wine that represents the territory in which it is born. Drinking it can be transported to the unique and special hills from which the wine is born.
