Rubicone IGT is a key IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) title of the Emilia-Romagna region in central Italy. It covers an area which corresponds almost precisely to the former Romagna region that was absorbed into Emilia-Romagna in 1860 during Italy's Risorgimento (unification).

Chardonnay is the world's most famous white-wine grape and also one of the most widely planted. Although the most highly regarded expressions of the variety are those from Burgundy and California, many high-quality examples are made in Italy, Australia, New Zealand and parts of South America.

Production area of wine is The hills of the Serra subzone at Castelbolognese (RA) with soil of medium texture, with veins of clay which has average grape yield per hectare: 8,000 kilos. Harvesting of fruits is done by handpicking in crates, in the first twenty days of September.

After the soft pressing of grapes, clarification of the must and temperature-controlled fermentation is followed by maturation on its fine lees for 60 days, in stainless steel.
