Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco is a DOCG title given to a prestigious zone for Prosecco wines made from the Glera grape variety in the Veneto wine region of northeastern Italy.
Glera is a long-standing synonym of northern Italy's Prosecco grape, and the name by which it is now officially known. This green-skinned variety has been grown for hundreds of years in the Veneto and Friuli regions, most famously to produce sparkling Prosecco wines.
This is the number one sparkling wine from the Bortolomiol traditional line.
The Roman numeral on the capsule and the name Prior bear testament to the fact that Giuliano Bortolomiol had the intuition to create a brut Prosecco at a time when it was only ever an extra dry.
Prior symbolises Giuliano’s pioneering spirit and his belief in Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and in the Martinotti Charmat sparkling wine-making method with fermentation in an autoclave, also known as the Italian Method.
