JAMAICA 5 y.o.
Appearance: Dark gold, with apricot reflections.
Bouquet: Deep, balsamic, with notes of camphor and the typical pungent Jamaican aroma rich in esters. Brown sugar, and fermented and vinous notes.
Palate: Identical to the perfume, but also with notes of resin, pine needles, black pepper and a hint of flour. There is an underlying sweetness, but the overall impression is dry and spicy. Sultanas, old wood.
Aftertaste: Warm, peppery, lively. The pungent note typical of Jamaican rum persists on the tongue for a long time.
Comment: A very robust, aromatic and spicy Jamaican rum, but made more gentle and round by the vinous and sultanas influence of sherry barrels.
