Taurasi DOCG is a red wine appellation in Irpinia, a sub-region of Campania, southern Italy. It is located 50 kilometers (30 miles) northeast of Naples, where the vineyards sit among the Apennine hills of Avellino.

Mastroberardino is an Italian wine producer known for championing the local varieties of Campania, and for its part in several of its sub-regions gaining DOCG status.

It is made with Aglianico, a red wine grape variety native to southern Italy. It is known to produce full-bodied red wines that show musky berry flavors with firm tannins and good aging potential.

Classic red vinification is followed for the wine by long maceration with the skins (about 25 days) at a controlled temperature (22 ° C-24 ° C).

Aging is donin French oak barriques and Slavonian oak barrels for about 24 months and at least 24 months in the bottle.
