AMORE MIO Riserva is a cuvée produced only in the best vintages, separately vinifying the best Sangiovese grapes from our two crus Pietra del Diavolo and Podere Monti.
With this wine we want to celebrate Sangiovese di Montepulciano, declining it not in blending, as tradition handed down, but in purity. The name pays homage to a contemporary art exhibition held in Montepulciano in 1970. The red is a very intense ruby, the aromatic profile is broad, small dark fruits, spices and wild herbs and a slight smoky note. The mouth is full and enveloping, dark fruits, herbs and spices, with dense and velvety tannins, the finish is long, balsamic and saline.
At the organic company Croce di Febo an artisanal wine is produced, limiting the use of chemical and synthetic products, which is the highest and most sincere expression of the vintage and of the terroir, a term that, as I always remember, does not only contemplate peculiarities of the soil or a specific soil climate, but takes into account the influence that man ... the winemaker ... has on the natural context, therefore in the vineyard, and on winemaking with his choices and his personality.
Fermentation: Indigenous yeasts in pyramidal concrete tanks
